Multi-purpose, Water-based Fire Retardant

Firecheck Flame retardant is a multi-purpose treatment solution for fire prevention in production studios, used to treat absorbent props, costume, clothing and set.

Firecheck is a non-toxic flame retardant fluid, developed for an extensive range of absorbent materials like fabric, clothing, wood, paper and board. A fine mist of fire retardant spray can be applied to permeable surfaces, both natural and synthetic, to effectively restrict fire damage and spread.

Ideal for mitigating fire risk within production studios, costuming and prop-making departments, Firecheck is colourless and odourless, leaving no reflective shine. Once treated and dried, Firecheck is effectively invisible. The coating forms a carbonised shield, deflecting and diverting heat from the material.

Firecheck Fire Retardant Application

One litre of Firecheck treats 10 square metres and will last for the practical and useful life of the article. Reapply when the treated object comes into contact with water or if subjected to heavy use.
