Mylands new collection of Earth Stain shades is based on selected solvents and natural earth pigments and dyes to give a stain which is easy to apply and is both light fast and non grain raising. The colour selection is inspired by many of the natural materials used in our production processes and wood from all parts of the world. The aim is to enhance wood’s intrinsic beauty, giving it a natural, distressed or smooth texture according to the Customers preference. Earth Stains are not a finish in their own right and will need overcoating.
Application
Firstly, ensure that all areas to be coated are well ventilated before, during and after application. Ensure the surface is smooth, clean and free from any contamination or sanding dust. Always test the stain on a small area prior to application on the whole area to be coated to ensure the colour is as desired.
Drying time
Allow 20 – 30 minutes at 20°C before overcoating.
Coverage
Coverage will depend on type and porosity of the substrate and application, but should be an average of 10 - 12m² per litre.
