Elevate your next performance with the Pigs Might Fly South. Developed by the award-winning makeup effects artist Nick Dudman, this specialised scratch gel is designed for creating fake semi-congealed blood ideal for use directly on skin to create the appearance of scratches or graze wounds.
The gel replicates dark blood that has started to clot and can be shaped directly on the skin using makeup tools/stipple brushes or laid into prosthetics applied on the skin to produce the effect of flesh wounds.
Why is this essential?
Unlike liquid-stage blood that runs or drips, our scratch gel has a unique viscosity that allows makeup artists to build, texture and sculpt fake wounds and grazes as are needed.
- Stay-Put Consistency: The thicker texture means your scratches won't migrate or smudge during a long shoot or event.
- Versatile Application: Use a stipple sponge for road rash and grazes, or a stainless steel spatula for deep, clean-cut lacerations.
Suitable for all skin types, it is allergen free, and fully compliant with UK & EU Cosmetic Regulations. Can be used with all film cameras including latest high definition equipment.
